Love these chairs! They're really comfy, have a nice aesthetic, and are great for situations where you need comfy seating on the move.

I own a similar GCI chair that I purchased back in 2011. It is sturdy, high quality, and survived a cross country move. Unfortunately, my repeat experience has been disappointing. I purchased a second chair, the GCI Wilderness Backpacker, in 2019 and am very disappointed with the poor quality this time around. The material started to disintegrate less than 18 months after the purchase; the straps and the seams are all fraying and the small pillow simply came off. The design of this chair is also less than ideal; it does not open or close easily. I wanted to recommend and cherish this chair but can't.

The storage bag on the back of the chair needs a better system to close. We already lost a sweater because the closing system is not a zipper or a secure solution.

This chair is incredibly comfy, however, it's starting to fall apart at the seams where you sit after only owning it for a few months and very minimal use (keep in mind, I'm 5'10, 175lbs... it seems like this shouldn't be an issue). Pretty about this. Hoping it's just a defective product and that I can exchange for a different one.
